Critics of the movement to abolish psychiatry and replace this inherently destructive discipline with more humane, safer and effective interventions for mental health care often insist there are simply many more vital sociopolitical issues to consider. However, clearly without healthy brains there are no other vital issues to actually consider for the entire society. And considering that the lawmakers and judges in the USA and other countries have virtually given control of the mental health care system to the psychiatrists we as individuals and as a society are being confronted with a literal disaster of shocking proportions. The priorities of the entire mainstream medical community must be questioned for a start since every single medical school has a psychiatry department and most doctors and nurses work with psychiatrists. Yet psychiatry is a consistently highly destructive discipline which wastes human potential and lives. This makes it appear as if real medicine is practiced by many non-psychiatric doctors simply as a front to help the psychiatrists implement their agenda of harsh social controls with no actual concern about good mental healthcare prevention and treatment. And the zealous support of the ignorance of psychiatry by the lawmakers, judges, feds, cops and other wealthy and powerful people in society shows how horribly corrupt and brutal the entire system actually is with a focus on attempting to make certain only a very select few elitists in society can enjoy relatively healthy, free, prosperous and happy lives.
