People magazine recently broke a story about
how horrible Marilyn Monroe felt psychiatric treatment was. She has been quoted
by People as having written: "There was no empathy at Payne-Whitney – it
had a very bad effect ." She said she was put in a cell with cement blocks and
all for very disturbed patients. She felt she was in some kind of prison for a
crime she hadn't committed. Marilyn Monroe was right. The mental hospitals are
and always have been concentration camps which serve no diagnostic or
therapeutic purpose. They're horrible places where psychiatrists and psychiatric
nurses profit greatly from simply drugging and beating people. People who are
not guilty of any crimes are treated like criminals by the psychiatric system.
This ignorance is inexcusable whether or not someone actually had some type of emotional illness.
